Policies and Price Structure

MMPI is primarily supported by Independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. We work with mission organizations affiliated with Evangelical Christian denominations and will work with any Christ-led church, as approved under the direction of our Board of Directors. These policies are guidelines, subject to change under direction of our Board of Directors, to better serve the Kingdom.

Mission Media Productions, Inc. is a ministry and a not-for-profit corporation, relying on your support and contributions for our day-to-day expenses. We provide video production affordably and without profit to the mission community. In order to provide these services, we have established the following policies:

CC/CoC Mission Organizations:

Complete productions:
MMPI divides general expenses (travel, airfare, trip supplies, etc.) among the missions we work with on a given trip. Added to that are expenses specific to each mission (field and master tapes, etc.) No fee is charged for concept, writing or editing of the first video made for each mission. Secondary videos (VBS tapes, etc.) edited from the same field tapes will be done for the cost of a master tape ($15.00) plus $10.00 per hour editing time. Field tapes are $15.00 each, and most videos take 1-3. Other services (animation rendering, PAL conversion, etc) are provided at our cost.

Editing from tapes you have shot:
Master tapes are $15.00 each. Editing is $10.00 per hour.

Changes:
Improvements will be made and errors corrected at no charge. Changes in style, content, or purpose may be billed at $15.00 per hour, with a 5 hour minimum. When time permits, we may be able to provide a proof tape. If this is possible, no charge will be made for nominal changes.

Copies:
Copies are provided at or near our cost. Current price for 20 to 200 copies is $3.00 each, including labels, sleeves, and shipping to one address in the United States. Tapes may be up to 20 minutes in length ($3.25 for 30 minute.) An additional shipping charge may be necessary for multiple destinations. We provide one VHS copy of each master free. Extra single copies are $5.00 each. We retain all master tapes.

Other Mission Organizations:

Field and duplicate charges remain the same; editing charges are $25.00 per hour. Non-mission work (churches, etc.) must be quoted.

General Costs and Guidelines (All)

All productions have the following base charges: $15.00 for master tape, $25.00 for use of copyright-free music library, and (optionally) $35.00 for digital backup (important if the production may be updated in the future.) All productions must have approved credits and closings. We reserve the right to distribute extra copies at our cost.

We work only with Christian organizations whose ministry our Board of Directors finds deserving. We will work with needy groups to provide acceptable terms. No organization will be turned down for lack of funds. Billing is at or near our cost. We accept and encourage donations over and above our invoice, but serve equally regardless. While we do not copyright, we ask you not copy our videos. The loss of quality reflects badly on both of us. Lastly, it is easy to redesign a finished project, but it is wasteful of time, productivity and money. "Change" and "improvement" aren't necessarily the same thing. We treat all projects equally, doing our best.

We strictly follow laws regarding copyrights and do not use any audio or video material for which we do not have written permission from the copyright holder.

MMPI policies are subject to change at the direction of our Board of Directors. Policies regarding field visits and use of MMPI materials and footage are available on request.
