The Veteran’s Advisory Council was formed in April 2014 to develop a multi-faceted action plan that serves as a guide to moving the industry forward to be an industry of choice to attract and retain military veteran talent.
Mission Media is pleased to launch its newest initiative! Models of Success is a collection of case studies focused on employers’ best practices for recruiting, onboarding and retaining veterans and spotlights of veterans who have successfully transitioned into careers within the cable and media entertainment industry. This first issue of Models of Success is focused on Spectrum’s veterans hiring program. Currently, Spectrum employs nearly 12,000 veterans, which represents almost 12% of its total workforce. The MSO has committed to increasing overall veteran hiring by 5% by 2020. Read about the strategies the company is employing to attain its goal in Models of Success.

Mission Media is pleased to partner with PsychArmor Institute, a national non-profit that provides free education and support to all Americans who work with, live with, want to hire or care for military veterans. The School for Guard, Reserve & Veteran Employers features a robust collection of online courses featuring best practices for veteran recruitment and retention from national subject matter experts.
